Pitch Contest Policy
• Minimum of 5 participants required
• If fewer than 5 register, the contest may be canceled
• If canceled, all entry fees are refunded
• Refunds issued within 5–7 business days
GOLD BUSINESS PITCH GRANT — OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
1. Eligibility
To participate in the Gold Business Pitch Grant:
• You must have a valid Sacramento Entrepreneur Bootcamp event ticket
• You must complete pitch contest registration
• You must be present at the event at the time of the contest
2. Entry Fee
• Entry fee is $50 per participant
• Entry fee does not include event admission
• Entry fees are required to secure a pitch slot
3. Participant Limit
• The pitch contest is limited to 15–20 participants maximum
• Spots are first come, first served
• Once all spots are filled, registration will close
4. Pitch Format
• Each participant will have 2 minutes to present
• A visible timer will be used
• Pitches must be completed within the time limit
• Participants may not exceed the allotted time
5. Presentation Guidelines -
Participants should clearly communicate:
• What their business or idea is
• Who it serves
• Why it matters
• What they are offering or seeking
6. Judging
The winner will be determined by a live audience vote

7. Prize
• The contest includes a minimum $300 prize pool
• The total prize increases based on participation
• A portion of entry fees contributes to the prize pool
8. Minimum Participation Requirement
A minimum of 5 participants is required
• If fewer than 5 participants register, the contest may be:

modified at the discretion of the event host
9. Refund Policy (Contest Only)
• If the pitch contest is canceled, all entry fees will be fully refunded
• Refunds will be issued within 5–7 business days
10. Event Conduct
• All participants must conduct themselves professionally
• Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the contest
• No refunds will be issued for removal due to misconduct
11. Content Restrictions
Participants may not present:
• illegal activities
• explicit or inappropriate content
• prohibited industries (as defined by venue guidelines)
12. Right to Modify
The event host reserves the right to:
• adjust the format
• modify timing
• make necessary changes to ensure a smooth event
13. Agreement
By entering the contest, participants agree to all rules and policies listed above.
